QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly qualified professional;
  • Three years successful classroom teaching esperience;
  • Experience in teaching reading intervention groups
  • Must hold a valid Elementary Education or Secondary certificationReading endorsement required; and a valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Trained in the administration and interpretation of DIBELS: Dynamic Indicators of Early Literacy Skills (preferred)


GOAL:


To provide students reading support through intervention groups and/or individual instruction.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Provide support to intense and strategic intervention students.
  • Assist with disaggregation and interpretation of assessment data to develop interventions to increase achievement in reading;
  • Organize and work with intervention groups;
  • Perform other duties related to the implementation of reading;
  • Ability to provide staff development on interventions and other related topics;
  • Tracking individual student growth;
  • Perform other duties related to the implementation of reading.


EVALUATION:


Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of professional staff.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Salary and work year in accordance with the currently approved professional salary placement schedule and work calendar. Candidates that meet the Career Pathways qualifications may be eligible for an additional performance based compensation.
