2025 Summer Internship consists of 40 hours/week, 10-12 weeks starting in late May. Candidates must be local to Northern Colorado for consideration.

About Tolmar Quality Control

The Quality Control (QC) department performs testing of raw materials, cleaning samples, in-process bulk intermediate, finished product, and stability samples, according to established regulatory protocols and procedures, to ensure the quality and safety of all products manufactured at Tolmar. The QC department plays an active role in leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve process efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

Proposed Work Description

The intern will be supporting Quality Control Chemistry with any documentation archival initiatives, any process improvement implementation tasks, data mining, performing any lab support functions, and other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and procedures.
  • An interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective organization and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to keep a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Effective oral and written communication; and
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Education & Experience

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline.
  • Have completed an analytical chemistry course with a lab; and
  • Have achieved an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in a laboratory environment but could include office, clean room, or production floor.
  • Dress is casual but business- or business-casual dress may be required on occasion.
  • Work will be on-site in Fort Collins.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Pay: $19.00 per hour
    • Benefits include medical insurance and participation in the 401k plan

      Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
