About Technical Services

The Tolmar Technical Services team is responsible for maintaining and improving the manufacturing systems for our commercial products. We work with the quality and commercial teams, leading the lifecycle management programs and driving continuous improvement of our commercial products result while ensuring the quality of our finished product. This includes developing and implementing new manufacturing and equipment systems and integrating them into our commercial production.

Proposed Work Description

The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company and department and therefore the work described below is an example of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail :

  • Assist technical services scientists and process engineers with development and optimization software tools to support manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with drafting and executing software development and process validation protocols.
  • Collect and analyze data from manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into existing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Good documentation practice and technical writing ability.
  • Proficiency in computer programming and software development.
  • Experience with coding languages such as Python, Java, or C .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment.

  • Education & Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in engineering or physical sciences discipline.
  • Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

  • Completion of Control Systems or Measurement Systems course preferred.
  • Have achieved an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
  • Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in a laboratory environment but could include office, clean room, or production floor.
  • Dress is casual but business- or business-casual dress may be required on occasion.
  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay : $19.00 per hour
  • Eligibility for medical benefits and company 401k
  • Exciting projects and company events to enjoy all summer.
  • Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

    Some college of Chemical Engineering (preferred)

    Some college of Engineering (preferred)

    Some college of Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
