Purpose and Scope
This position serves as the functional and technical lead for Tolmar's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, which supports critical business processes including accounting, finance, materials management, procurement, and manufacturing. The Manager ERP, Solutions Architect is responsible for leading technical solutions architecture and systems and data integrations, owning system support and ensuring system performance, and driving process improvements.
The role focuses on team leadership, ERP application support, and solution design while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver value-driven improvements. It requires balancing functional management with technical expertise to achieve both operational stability and strategic advancements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Team Management : Oversee and develop the ERP team, including setting goals, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- ERP Operations & Support : Manage the ERP incident queue, troubleshoot technical and functional issues, and ensure system reliability. Provide detailed input into and lead configurations, integrations, release planning, and change management processes.
- Process Improvement & Solution Design : Analyze and document business workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities. Design and implement ERP enhancements to support evolving business needs. Own technical designs and decisions for integrations with other enterprise systems, including EDI, LIMS, HRIS, QMS, etc. Lead development of technical and business process roadmap for ongoing growth.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment on ERP initiatives.
- Quality & Compliance : Support GxP computerized system processes, including change control, deviation management, and system validations. Ensure adherence to quality management standards.
- Training & Documentation : Develop user training materials and maintain up-to-date system documentation to support business continuity.
- Project Leadership : Using robust SDLC processes, lead and participate in cross-functional teams to implement new functionality, integrations, and business solutions. Provide oversight and guidance on project execution.
- Vendor Management and Budget Support : Serve as primary liaison to ERP system providers and consulting partners. Support budget development and manage subscription and project costs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
