Job Overview:
Tom’s Complete Construction (TCC) is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs at various residential rental properties managed by Fischer Asset Management. You’ll be a key part of our team, helping to ensure that all properties are in excellent condition, meeting the high standards our clients and residents expect.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs for residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and more.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and prevent issues before they arise.
- Respond promptly to work order requests and ensure a high level of tenant satisfaction.
- Work closely with property management to prioritize and complete work orders.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure tools are in good working condition.
- Assist in turnover cleaning and repairs between tenants.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field preferred, with 2-3 professional references preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair common household systems and appliances.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Must be available for on-call maintenance requests as needed.
- Must have a smart phone, able to learn and use job related software for updating work orders and communicating with the team.
