Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles to identify and document all damage accurately. Assess the extent of structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage caused by collisions.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software to prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates. Calculate labor and material costs, factoring in replacement parts, repair techniques, and necessary procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the repair process, estimated costs, and timeline.
- Liaise with insurance companies to negotiate repair costs, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure compliance with insurance guidelines.
- Identify required replacement parts and accessories for repairs. Coordinate with parts suppliers to order necessary components.
- Work closely with collision repair technicians and other team members to ensure seamless workflow and quality repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repair estimates, invoices, and related documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience working as an estimator (preferably)
- Dedicated to creating a superb customer experience
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to create reports on costing data
- Analytical and math skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Very detail-oriented
