Tom Wood Volkswagen, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is currently searching for an experienced Parts Counter Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be detail oriented, and hold a passion for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in-person and over the phone with their parts inquiries, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Process customer orders, including special orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with the service department to provide necessary parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of frequently used parts while minimizing excess inventory.
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure the timely availability of parts for ongoing repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions, including sales, returns, warranties, and core exchanges.
- Comply with dealership policies, procedures, and standards for parts management and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, technicians, and other team members.
- Familiarity with parts and accessories is a strong advantage
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, process orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to parts orders, inventory discrepancies, and customer inquiries.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a CLEAN record
