Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities through regular maintenance and repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on various systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, woodworking and electrical systems.
- Fabricate and repair components as needed.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues or areas needing attention, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Track work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with other staff or contractors when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with various hand tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience working in a team environment or coordinating projects is beneficial but not required.
- A background in customer service will enhance interactions with clients and tenants.
