Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with the ability to read blueprints and adhere to industry codes and standards. This role involves working with various materials, including structural steel and requires proficiency in welding techniques such as GMAW & SMAW . The Ironworker will play a crucial role in constructing and maintaining structures, ensuring safety and quality throughout the process.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using GMAW & SMAW and other welding techniques to join metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Install structural steel and custom made components as required.
- Operate cranes and other heavy machinery.
- Cut and fit structural members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, particularly SMAW & GMAW.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to metal fabrication.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Experience working with structural steel.
- Ability to operate cranes and heavy machinery, safely is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety practices.
