What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Tomat?
Tomat is a farm-to-table, casual fine dining restaurant located in Westchester near LAX. We serve dinner Wednesday-Sunday with a focus on seasonal and local produce. Our menu is celebrates Californian ingredients, but draws influence from British, Persian, and Japanese cuisine. We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team. This position requires managing the kitchen team, leading inventory, ordering, and prep work, assisting at the farmers market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, planning events/private dining, coordinating and assisting our rooftop menu, and planning/working in our restaurant garden. Importantly, we are looking for a candidate with excellent leadership and organizational skills and extreme professionalism.
