What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at Tomball Independent School District?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned route. Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) -
- Good Driving Record
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course
- First Aid Course
- Valid Texas School Bus Driver Certificate
- Annual Physical and ability to pass DOT Drug & Alcohol Test
Minimum Experience
No experience necessary. Paid training to obtain CDL
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around vehicles and machinery with moving parts; moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes.
