Primary Purpose:
The purpose of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master’s Degree in Library Science from an approved institution
Baccalaureate degree from an approved institution
A valid Texas Teacher’s certificate with a proper library endorsement
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Computer literate
Experience:
A minimum of two years experience in the classroom (SBEC certification standards)
Working Conditions :
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Pay Grade: 60
Reports to: Building Principal
Days: 192/197
