We are seeking an ambitious and highly skilled sales and marketing manager with a track record of exceptional, transformative management practices. In this role, you will meet company objectives for revenue through the development and orchestration of effective marketing plans and sales processes. Enhance our company brand in targeted markets through development and execution of effective marketing strategies. Effectively manage the sales and marketing department through staffing, training, creation of the sales and marketing plans, documentation of sales activity and results, creation and management of the marketing budget, and achievement of revenue goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for overall revenue generation.
  • Hires, trains, encourages, supports, supervises, and terminates sales personnel.Develops revenue goals and action plans for all sales personnel.
  • Monitors revenue results of the team and address any shortcomings in a timely manner.
  • Develops & executes annual sales and marketing plan to achieve sales goals.
  • Ensures the overall marketing strategy is executed by coordinating plans with appropriate agency as well as plan internal initiatives that complement larger marketing strategy.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding consumer needs/requirements and market conditions.
  • Determines, reviews, and fine tunes all sales processes for efficiency and ensures they allow for optimum revenue generation.
  • Responsible for monitoring all key sales reporting metrics to ensure the team is on pace to exceed revenue goals.
  • Implements top of funnel lead generation strategies to ensure team is on pace to exceed revenue goals.
  • Develops and implements key company initiatives centered around service line growth, new service implementation, and process improvement.
  • Creates work plans for all key initiatives to ensure they are enacted.
  • Monitors progress towards company revenue and service line goals and develops adjustment plans as necessary.
  • Analyzes business data, market trends, consumer behavior and adjusts accordingly.
  • Creates specific time sensitive initiatives based on current conditions and business needs.
  • Identifies new service opportunities based on market conditions, and coordinates roll out details with department managers.
  • Develops and maintains sales team commission plans.
  • Maintains strong relationships with other department managers & collaborates on a regular basis to ensure overall goal achievement & efficiency.
  • Determines overall pricing strategy. Adjust rates in operating systems, as necessary.
  • Ensures efficiency in the sales process including inbound call, response time, proposal process & accuracy, follow-up, and job profitability.
  • Performs regular coaching with all sales representatives. Holds scheduled conversations with all sales team members.
  • Conducts regular team meetings as appropriate.
  • Ensures that necessary training is conducted based on conditions.
  • Manages the sales follow-up process and telemarketing efforts to maximize the company’s ratio of closed sales.
  • Ensures lead program is implemented in an efficient manner and all leads are followed-up on in a timely manner.
  • Sits on the Executive Committee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, and account management, preferably in the landscaping or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of landscaping and horticulture is a plus.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
  • This work of this position is predominantly carried out in an office environment. Occasional exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is expected.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
