Tomlinson Designs is a respected, comfortable, local firm dedicated to high end custom residential and interior design projects. We are seeking an experienced Revit-Modeler & Drafter to join our team in office. This is a full-time hourly position for a minimum 30 day probationary period with opportunity to a full-time salaried position with benefits.
A Drafter should expect to turn the designers ideas into highly detailed, technical drawings used to construct the buildings, but not be involved in the design process otherwise. This individual should be very comfortable in creating construction documents for residential design. This position is not considered entry level and requires at least 3 years professional experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- This position is in office, not remote.
- Interpret design sketches to Revit in accordance with Tomlinson Design Standards with minimal oversight and direction provided by Designers
- Prepare detailed permit/construction drawing sets
- Create construction details and supplemental drawings
- Work with structural engineers on construction details
- Work with Interior Designer on finish details and presentation drawings
- Create 3D renderings and perspectives
- Use Enscape with Revit to create photorealistic walk-thrus, panoramas, and renderings
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years industry experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to commit to deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of wood framed construction and techniques
- Working knowledge of both Mac and PC Windows environments
- Excellent knowledge of current versions of Autodesk Revit software
- Working knowledge of current versions of Enscape software
- Excellent verbal, written, and communications skills
- Self-directed, proactive approach
- Ability to set priorities and multi-task
- Attention to detail and accuracy are an absolute must
- Problem solving skills
