Engineer (Engineer in Training)/Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

We are seeking a construction professional who has Engineer background, is a self-starter, has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to make confident decisions. The Assistant Project Manager/Engineer (EIT) will be responsible for maintaining a healthy positive relationship with customers as well as monitoring construction activities and aid in the administrative direction of on-site personnel. Must be dedicated to growing their career through hands-on experience and mentorship in various Engineering and Construction projects. We will assist in guidance and compensation for taking the EIT (Engineer in Training) Certification Test.

Position Overview:
Assistant Project Manager/Engineer in Training (EIT)

Expected Responsibilities:

Assistant Project Management

• Requesting Bid Documents/Plans
• Order Bid Bonds
• Provide Assistance in reviewing/bidding projects for Bid
• Schedule/Attend site Visit and/or Pre-Bid Meeting when required
• Prepare Bids/Quotes in accordance with Bid Doc
• Set up Projects and maintain Project files/documents
• Submittals, RFI’s
• Track Bid Items
• Subcontract Agreements
• Maintain/Track Project Schedules
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environment is emphasized throughout all phases of the Projects
• Provide written quotes for Gravel Sales

EIT (Engineer in Training) Work on Tommer Development Projects

• Assist with GPS - Model Building - Data Collection as needed
• Opportunities to gain on the job Engineering experience - including engineering design, reports and software

Expected Requirements:

• BS in Civil Engineering (or related field) (preferred not mandatory)
• AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting experience
• Ability to form collaborative relationships with our Customers, Project Owners, Engineers and within Tommer
• Strong attention to detail and work in a time-effective manner
• Organized with strong leadership qualities and delegation skills
• Be aware of details and be able to recognize when problems are developing and implement effective solutions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
