Overview
The Rooms Controller is responsible for daily room assignment for VIP's and all other special requests and to assist Front Office with daily operations when needed.
Salary Range $22-$23/hour
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:• A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.• Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.• Pre-block special request/groups, VIPs, etc. on a daily basis• Pre-register groups when applicable• Knowledge of all Front Desk systems• Weekly show rooms listing, VIP show rooms inspections sheets• Daily control of room assignments• Answer all incoming calls • Book reservations• Attend resume meetings• Oversee out of Service & out of order rooms• Book and maintain all TM/Family room rates
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform additional supportive functions for the front office and property.
Qualifications
Prerequisites:
*Excellent communication and listening skills.*Ability to work under pressure.*Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.*Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
*Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
*Previous hospitality experience preferred
