What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser position at Tommy's Tavern?
Bussers support our Servers in setting up our dining room. Their responsibilities include serving plates, glasses and silverware, refilling beverages and cleaning tables. Bussers are key to ensuring that daily operations run smoothly, working well as a team in providing guest satisfaction at Tommy’s Tavern Tap!
Responsibilities:
Greet all Guests with friendliness & warmth.
Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
Set table decor, napkins, linens and flowers, etc.
Place tableware and condiments on tables.
Serve water, refill beverages, assist in taking orders.
Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed.
Provide special accommodations to families with young children.
Clean and reset tables after guests leave.
Maintain health and safety regulations within all kitchen and dining areas.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus.
Must be friendly and engaging with guests and work well with the restaurant team.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
