CAD Designer
Tommy’s is looking for a CAD Designer to refine car wash equipment documentation, implement department standards and support other departments.

Position Responsibilities:
- Model and design car wash equipment using 3D modeling software
- Generate manufacturing drawings and coordinate with vendors on design changes
- Develop equipment manuals and provide support where needed
- Generate/coordinate equipment news and installer bulletins
- New equipment research and development
- Model and print 3D prototypes
- Communicate with Sales Team, Installers, Production, Manufacturing, and Building Services
- CAD Admin; ensure all drawing standards are being followed accordingly
- SharePoint Admin for the Engineering Page
- Ensure all necessary documents are up to date, and uploaded accordingly while holding to strict CAD standards.
- Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes
- Advanced degree or formalized technical training and equivalent experience required
- 1 years of professional work experience or co-op participation during school
- Proficient in 3D modeling in SolidWorks, or similar CAD package
- Familiar/light experience with welding, machining, sheet metal, and other metal fabrication techniques
- Familiar with materials such as stainless steel and various plastics
- Familiar with Solidworks PDM Vault
- Car wash industry experience preferred
- Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:
- Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions
- Able to move about inside the office to access standard office equipment, etc.
- Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, alternating between sitting and standing
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as; keyboard, copy machine and printer
- Ability to move and lift up to 30 pounds
- Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
- Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
