Do you have what it takes? Tommy’s is looking for a highly dynamic and personable Membership Sales Specialist to drive peak sales performance initiatives with Tommy’s Express Car Wash locations across the company. This outgoing professional will provide consulting and expertise in guerilla marketing and window sales to increase membership sales. This role will help build out the team, develop strategies for improving store performance, and travel to sites nationwide to coach on execution.

Position Responsibilities:

  • On-Site/Field Responsibilities
    • Structure out a gridded approach to canvas the surrounding retail and roof tops with guerilla marketing assets all while documenting who, when and where.
    • Build relationships within the community and share our brand.
    • Train standard Tommy’s window dialogue for success and coach team members on how to sell according to various situations
    • Work with franchise partner(s) and their teams to coach struggling sites on guerilla marketing and window/vac concierge sales dialogue to improve sales and membership sign-ups
    • Coach sites in exemplifying the WE OWN IT culture resulting in quick and friendly service to our guests within the car wash 
    • Support Grand Openings with market blitz as needed, including distribution of street cards
    • Coach and train sites on how and what to post using SoCi
    • Implement sales intervention at struggling sites through the use of franchise and marketing palybooks.
  • Off-Site/Office Responsibilities
    • Lead creation of SOPs for guerilla marketing and sales intervention operating strategy and implement at struggling sites
    • B2B cold calling and relationship building to increase fleet opportunities
    • Partner with franchise operations team in developing sales goals and operational plans for struggling sites to increase profitability
    • Lead sites in partnering with local businesses to promote Tommy’s, hosting guest appreciation events and participating in other sales and marketing campaigns
    • Track actions taken and results at each site for measuring effectiveness and provide recommendations on solutions to management that will increase effectiveness and profitability
  • Exemplify and uphold the WE OWN IT culture

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, sales or related field
  • Willingness to travel 90% of the time, both domestic and international travel
  • Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload 
  • Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Views customer care as high priority; exhibits a positive can-do attitude
  • Displays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill them 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a retail car wash environment. Operating hours are Monday through Sunday from 7:00am - 9:00pm. This role routinely operates in all areas of the car wash facility, including both indoor and outdoor work. This role includes travel up to 90% and will routinely operate in all areas of the car wash facility, including both indoor and outdoor work.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:

  • Work and commute in all weather conditions
  • Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking
  • Move about inside an office environment to access standard office equipment
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as
  • Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Drive between company locations and/or vendors or suppliers as needed while on job
  • Frequently stand, walk, and move about inside fast-paced car wash environment for the majority of each shift
  • Tolerate vibrating tools and louder than normal work environment at times
