Lawn Maintenance Foreman

Overview
Tommy Todd Landscape & Design is looking for an experienced landscape and lawn maintenance foreman.

Duties

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff in daily landscape maintenance activities.
• Plan and implement landscape maintenance schedules for a mostly residential customer route with weekly site visits.
• Oversee the care of landscape ornamentals, small trees, groundcovers, perennial, and annual plantings by ensuring proper pruning on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain equipment used for landscape and lawn maintenance, ensuring all tools are in good working condition. Any broken tools are to be tagged and reported for repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to assess health and appearance.
• Train team members on best practices for all equipment and techniques used on site for lawn and landscape maintenance.
• Collaborate with management to develop improvement plans for existing landscapes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape and lawn maintenance in Florida.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge and experience with common landscape plantings found in central Florida.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and clientele
• Knowledge and experience operating/programming irrigation timers in order to check/evaluate irrigation systems. Technical Repair experience for basic issues preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• All candidates must have a valid FL driver's license with a MVR report that is accepted by our auto insurance carrier.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week
