Position Summary:
The Supervisor, Youth Educational Services will oversee day-to-day operations of Tommy Nobis Centers Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) program for youth with disabilities. This is a leadership role that manages the Youth Educational Program within a specific geographic area and supervises the team of instructors. This role is also responsible for coordinating services with local schools, referral sources, and students. This person is responsible for EYES Services provided in their designated geographical area:
- South Metro-Atlanta area including Atlanta, Dekalb, Douglas & Clayton Counties, and expanding areas in the south metro.
- Northeast Metro Area including Gwinnett, Forsyth, North Fulton, Dawson, and Hall Counties, and expanding areas northeast.
- Northwest Metro Area including Cobb, Paulding Cherokee, and Bartow Counties, and expanding areas northwest.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily operation of the EYES program delivered both in school environments and within the community during the summer and school break programming in the respective geographic Metro Atlanta Area.
- Responsible for delivery of services for students in the EYES program including scheduling of the EYES program staff for their respective school/class/group from time of referral to exit to ensure services are provided at the highest level of quality,
- Responsible for acquiring service authorization and maintaining adequate reporting records for each individual receiving services.
- Ensure participant case notes and monthly status reports are prepared and submitted timely by the EYES Instructors through the utilization of Vertex to report and record documentation of services delivered for billing purposes.
- Stewards’ excellent customer service and positive, productive relationships with community partners, i.e., clients, parents, GVRA, educational partners, local businesses, etc.
- Assists EYES instructors in delivering pre-vocational skills curriculum to high school and middle school students as needed
- Responsible for day-to-day management of staff including timecard entries, approves employee payroll and mileage, and annual performance evaluations.
- Assists in the improvement of pre-vocational skills curriculum (career exploration, job readiness, interview skills, etc.) to meet the needs of the participants, schools, and program requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for data metrics and demographic tracking.
- Educates the community regarding the EYES program.
- Is a cultural ambassador for the organization fostering an environment of trust, alignment, transparency, and accountability.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
