The Cash Management Sales Support Manager leads a team responsible for onboarding, implementing, and servicing cash management products and services across Tompkins markets. This role focuses on delivering client-centric experiences and maintaining high-quality standards. The manager oversees all cash management products, services, and procedures, and develops company-wide plans for their implementation and servicing. Additionally, they represent the Cash Management Sales Team in product development, audits, compliance, and act as a liaison with various departments within Tompkins.
Responsibilities
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead Cash Management Sales Support team in delivering client-centric experience; internally and externally.
- Collaborate with the Cash Management Sales Manager in complex sales scenarios and assist with onboarding and implementation of cash management products and services.
- Work closely with Cash Management Business Line Leader to provide strategic direction and develop tactics for the specific cash management products offered by Tompkins.
- Function as a mentor and coach to the sales support team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and exceptional performance through regular training sessions and development programs.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the Cash Management Sales Team regarding operations and compliance.
- Ability to apply strong product knowledge to the coordination of customized services to support the client's needs and to be the conduit between the sales team and the client.
- Establishes a close liaison with key stakeholders across the company to provide input into the strategic direction of the business, functionality and launch of new products and services.
Operational Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate billing for Tompkins services rendered to our clients.
- Develop expertise in the current vendor relationships and their products.
- Resolves all identified issues, within the Cash Management Sales Team and their markets, promptly and escalate concerns to the CM Sales Manager, as appropriate, to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns.
- Interact effectively and regularly with the leadership across Tompkins Community Bank
- Act as a liaison between Cash Management Sales Team and all other departments of Tompkins to include bank servicing & operations, legal & compliance, IT, systems and programing.
Additional Duties:
- Represents Tompkins in the community.
- Attend professional and vendor conferences, meetings and trainings.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Business or related field of study, or related experience.
- 7 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- 5 years of experience in Payments and Cash Management operations.
- Proficient understanding of Banking Compliance and Regulatory requirements including the ability to interpret laws and assess risk as it relates to Cash Management products, procedures and services.
- Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize projects while maintaining acute attention to detail.
- Proficient mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong industry, product, and branch procedures knowledge
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Exceptional writing, interpersonal and client service skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
