What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Security Specialist position at Tompkins Community Bank?
This position is responsible for the day to day administration of the physical security program. This position works closely with vendors to ensure they adhere to our standards and that the job is done correctly through monitoring contracts, managing billing and performing quality control on installations.
Responsibilities:- Oversees completion of daily tasks, including but not limited to reviewing daily reports to locate potential fraud, placing hold or restrictions on accounts to prevent losses, starting cases for the investigation area, conducting in-depth research on potential fraud cases, verifying checks for bank branches and assisting in the collection and compilation of data for quarterly tracking of fraud losses.
- Work closely with the Building Services and IT areas on new sites, remodels and closures of sites.
- Responsible for security tasks including adding and deleting staff from the panels and issuing verbal pin codes
- Act as and after-hours contact for physical security issues and be able to trouble-shoot and provide branch solutions regarding alarm or card access issues.
- Retrieve and provide security camera footage for law enforcement and for cases within the department as needed.
- Ensure that the DVR system is constantly working properly and place service calls as needed for repairs.
- Work with security vendors on contracts, proposals and scheduling for projects, and recommend solutions to issues that arise during the project.
- Responsible for reviewing invoices, logging and processing them in a timely manner through Tompkins purchasing systems.
- Schedule and track Branch Security Control Forms and Security Branch/Office
- Assessments and address issues with the branches in a timely fashion.
- Assist with collecting documentation for subpoenas and investigations
- Assist with investigations involving fraud, robbery, and forgery; identify risks and mitigating controls due to such investigations and effectively communicate recommendations to the Corporate Security Officer. Ensure timely and accurate implementation or resolution.
- All other duties as assigned.
A minimum of three (3) years relevant risk experience in the banking, financial services, or other related industry. (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Ability to analyze information and formulate conclusions
Proficient interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with others across the Company

Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Valid DL required for site visits
