What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reporting and Systems Analyst - Wealth Management position at Tompkins Community Bank?
The individual in this position will lead the creation of reports for the business development report, general financial reporting and system data reporting by working closely with the TFA Compliance Officer and the client service teams. This role will assist in creating unity and consistency across all TFA regions in reporting, benchmarking and metrics. This position will assist the global TFA team for the core system process and workflow support and help to drive consistency of workflow processes based on established policy and procedures. This individual will assist with the incorporation of new business system features into the established workflows or help in building new ones as needed.
Responsibilities:Produce and analyze reports including but not limited to business development, system data accuracy, benchmarking data input, performance metrics reports by defined deadlines.
Creates current and historical financial reports for TFA team in order to identify trends among key metrics.
Develops and drives consistency across TFA report writing for accuracy, efficiency and client support.
Assist centralized support for Core Trust Accounting Platform, with having a strong working knowledge of other business systems used within TFA
Participates in TFA systems workflows review to improve efficiency.
Communicate clearly in business writing formats
Lead or assist training sessions as needed
Develop best practices for use of all technologies
- Review business systems enhancements, changes and procedures
- Partner with Wealth Management Assistant Lead and TFA Compliance officer on reviewing, incorporating and communicating system enhancements, changes and procedure updates to enhance workflows.
- Proactively seek opportunities to coordinate with other departments to improve reporting, operations, service, and technology in an effort to meet the Company’s objectives.
- Attend core systems innovation meetings.
- Work with TFA back office operations to back-up or cross train as needed.
- Oversee special projects as assigned.
A High School Diploma or equivalent required, an Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a wealth management and or trust department
High aptitude for systems and software applications
Proficient skills in use of excel software
Basic understanding or familiarity with trust, investments and financial planning, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, independent decision maker, excellent time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong industry, product, and branch procedures knowledge
Detail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Exceptional writing, interpersonal and client service skills
Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
