Job Description
The Childcare Center Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for the daily meals and dishes. Prepare breakfast, lunch and snack each day. Follows CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) food guidelines when cooking and portioning out daily meals as well as record meals each day.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma. Any food service work experience and experience with children. Willing to participate in CACFP training. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Current certifications in First Aid and CPR required. If a candidate does not possess certification at the time of employment, the incumbent must obtain this certification within three months of the date of appointment. The incumbent must maintain valid certification for the duration of employment.
This position is subject to a criminal background check and Statewide Central Register Database check.
Expected Hiring Salary Range
$16.18 - $17.68 per hour. Rate commensurate with education and experience.
Review of applicants to begin immediately and continue until position is filled. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.
