Exemption Status : Non-Exempt / Hourly Pay

Job Summary :

The Warehouse Associate will assist with and operate HVAC and plumbing service orders, pick-ups, deliveries, shipments, receiving, inventory organization, vehicle services, and supporting installers and technician to ensure efficiency.

Position Duties & Responsibilities :

Provides efficient and well-scheduled order pick-ups / deliveries

Organizes warehouse and maintains warehouse under the direction and guidance of the Warehouse Manager

Safely operates forklifts and other equipment in areas as needed

Maintains a valid Texas driver’s license with a clear (or Company acceptable near clear) driving record to ensure ability to travel to assigned jobs

Maintains knowledge of industry technologies as offered through Tom’s by participating in and understanding assigned training

Sustains attention to detail

Maintains good conduct and ethical behavior

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities :

Maintaining a safe working environment

Proficient verbal and written communication skills

First-rate interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent attention to detail

Good driving record with continual ability to pass our driving record for insurability purposes

Ability to meet deadlines while effectively prioritizing tasks

Problem-solving skills

Ability to function well in a high-paced, demanding, and / or strenuous environment

From interview to last day of employment, the ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen

Continual ability to pass a background clearance verification

Neat and clean appearance during working hours

Strong work ethic and behavior

Education and Experience :

High School Diploma, GED and / or a certification from an accredited technical school, preferred

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to :

Bend or twist body, 90 degrees in either direction

Stand on all surfaces for long periods of time

Squat and touch floor with hands

Use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools and / or controls

Climb ladder, scaffolds and / or poles safely

Use repetitive motions

Walk and / or run for long periods of time

Lift up to 50 lbs., in addition to body weight

Reach over head with ease

Access rooftops with extension or fixed ladders at heights of up to 50 feet, as needed

Complete job with safety in mind for all involved and communicate any issues to the assigned SME that could lead to safety concerns prior to completing tasks.

Ability to work long hours during peak heating and cooling seasons
