About us: Tonic is a casual restaurant in downtown Charlottesville, VA. We value a friendly, supportive work environment
The dishwasher position is pretty straight forward; keeping our dishes clean, putting away dishes, and supporting our kitchen team. There is an opportunity to learn prep and cold line, if you are interested. This is a great job for people in high school, or who are looking to pick up a few shifts per week.
We work as a collective at Tonic, with all team members pitching in on tasks. We tip front of house and back of house out equally each day.
Compensation: $9.50 an hours, plus tips. We average $16 an hour, and potential for more during busy season (spring-fall)
Shifts will primarily be on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, with the potential for week day shifts when there are nearby music events,
Candidates MUST be able to work nights and weekends.
Job Duties include:
- Washing & drying dishes, pots, and pans.
- Putting away dishes in their proper storage location
- Assisting the kitchen with daily closing and cleaning duties
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen
- Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time (6-8 hours)
- Availability on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
