Tono Pizzeria Cheesesteaks – Travel Team Member
Seasonal/part-time, multiple locations around the Twin Cities for different occasions including, but not limited to special events, festivals, markets, private functions, etc.
Team member role: We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking Seasonal Team Member to join our mobile catering team. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering high-quality pizza and customer service for any occasion. This is a fast-paced role that requires a passion for food, customer service, and working in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and assembly of pizza orders, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to food safety standards.
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and handle payments with a positive attitude. Answer any questions related to the menu and products.
Cooking: Help with the cooking of pizzas in a mobile wood-fired oven or standard pizza oven, ensuring proper temperature and cooking times are followed.
Food Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of the food preparation area, adhere to hygiene standards, and ensure all equipment is sanitized regularly.
Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist in the setup and breakdown of the mobile catering unit, including organizing pizza ingredients and supplies, as well as handling waste and trash.
Team Support: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during busy events, always willing to help wherever needed.
Cash Handling & POS Operation: Process customer payments accurately using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
Customer Interaction: Promote the brand, create a welcoming environment, and ensure customers have a great experience from start to finish.
Key Skills & Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in a food service or catering environment is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
Customer-Focused: A passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Team Player: Ability to work well within a small team, often under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Adaptable & Flexible: Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to the specific needs of each event.
Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and assist in setting up and breaking down the catering unit.
Food Safety Awareness: Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus, though training will be provided.
Reliable Transport: Must have access to reliable transport to attend different event locations.
