An Automotive Product Specialist is a knowledgeable and customer-focused professional who serves as the expert on a dealership’s vehicle lineup. Unlike traditional sales roles, a product specialist focuses on educating customers, demonstrating vehicle features, and ensuring a seamless purchasing experience without the pressure of aggressive sales tactics.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Product Expertise: Have in-depth knowledge of all vehicle models, features, specifications, and technology, including safety features, performance, and connectivity options.
- Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers, answer questions, and provide detailed demonstrations of vehicles.
- Test Drive Coordination: Guide customers through test drives, highlighting key features and benefits tailored to their needs.
- Technology Demonstration: Explain and assist with vehicle technology, such as infotainment systems, driver-assist features, and mobile app connectivity.
- Support Sales Process: Work alongside the sales team to ensure customers feel informed and comfortable making a purchase decision.
- Customer Follow-Up: Maintain relationships with potential buyers, provide additional information as needed, and ensure satisfaction after a purchase.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in guest-facing roles (automotive or sales) preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Drivers Abstract and Background required during pre-hire process
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
Compensation:
- Annual income of $45,000 to $55,000 yr includes incentives
