Job summary

Responsible for overseeing the meat counter and the meat staff.

Summary of essential job functions:

• There will be a FLM present until 6:00 pm no exceptions.
• Customer Service is the paramount at Tony’s market as such you will need to hold you and your staff accountable to give extraordinary customer service at all times no exception.
• Drive sales with demo’s weekend sale items and courteous knowledgeable sales staff.
• All Cases will be set full (Abundanza) and look fresh by 9:30 AM until the door closes.
• The cases set need attention for both the opening shift and re set periodically to make sure product is in the best possible state for sale. Fresh garnish and full clean pans.
• Disseminate new skills to all employees IE: everyone should know how to make basic cuts and specialties products within the first month of their employment.
• Make a prep list for the following days specialties case/ seafood area that the afternoon counter staff can work on in afternoon between customer service.
• Keep all employees on task with keeping cases full at all times, steak paper pulled, and cleaning projects.
• Maintain staff accountability when projects are not completed, or disciplinary action is needed. If you allow people to slip up and not correct them, you are setting a dangerous precedence.
• Hold Monthly meetings to disseminate all current programs and brainstorm more efficiencies and deficiencies that are happening in the department involve staff on problem solving.
• Maintain a correct ledger and reconcile ledger weekly.
• Have schedules ready by Thursday for the following week stay two weeks ahead on these.
• Watch prices on all invoices and compare them with the order guide to make sure pricing is correct.
• Watch Sales weekly with a close eye on average sale Distribution, and sales up down.
• Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Display meat cuts and products in the counter so they will appear attractive and catch the shopper’s eye.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends

• Ability to multitask and use organizational skills
