- Proven management experience in grounds maintenance, particularly in sports turf environments.
- Playground Safety Certification (CPSI or equivalent) preferred.
- Pesticide Applicators License.
- Strong knowledge of sports turf maintenance, pest management, and irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of proper tree pruning and care.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures, and regulations governing the proper use of tools and power equipment used in performing duties.
- Wear appropriate safety gear, including masks, as needed.

Job Title: Grounds Supervisor
Job Summary
The Tooele County School District is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to oversee the care and maintenance of our outdoor facilities, including synthetic turf athletic fields, natural turf athletic fields, playgrounds, trees, irrigation, and landscaped areas. This includes managing a team of grounds maintenance personnel. This role supports Tooele County School District’s Strategic Model which promotes creating safe learning environments and resource efficiency. The ideal candidate prioritizes student well-being, effective collaboration, and sustainable landscaping practices. The Grounds Supervisor position reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
