What are the responsibilities and job description for the Folder and Saddle Stitcher Operator position at Toof American Digital Printing?
3 to 5 years as an Operator on standard commercial printing folders and saddle stitchers.
You will:
- Perform set up and run printing jobs: Reading the job ticket for all information;
- Check work against Proof and mockup for position and accuracy.
- Have working knowledge of commonly used terms and practices, procedures (wrinkles, dog ears, scum, dry up, out of Register, Guide, Off Guide, Gripper, Tail of Sheet and Offset).
- Operate the machine to automatically fold, slit and score printed sheets.
- Enter production data into a computer based task tracking system.
- Familiarity with Heidelberg/Stahl folders a plus.
- Have the ability to understand general mechanical and maintenance principles.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Be willing to be cross-trained in other areas of the plant and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work well with others and function with limited supervision
- Work from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with the opportunity for occasional overtime

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
