Description
- The International Emissions Certification Engineer position offers an opportunity to develop and execute vehicle emissions certification plans for the international markets. The regulatory environment in this space is continuously changing and offers the right candidate a chance to enhance knowledge of vehicle powertrain components and their functions, certification processes and work directly with counterparts in all global regions. The selected candidate will gain knowledge in international vehicle emissions, CO2 & Fuel Economy regulations and compliance processes.
- Specific to this role, core responsibilities will be focused certifying vehicles for emissions in global markets outside of the U.S., Canada and Mexico. This is a unique opportunity for the selected candidate to be part of the small team of global experts that are navigating a major change in international certification policies and procedures.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or other technical disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years’ automotive experience
- Emissions related background/experience
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- Ability to speak technically and in simpler terms
- Comfortable communicating regularly with executive-level management
- Experience leading new initiatives and able to teach/speak to groups.
- MBA or advanced engineering degree
- Powertrain calibration experience
- Experience with global regulations in mobile/vehicle emissions and fuel economy testing
- Vehicle testing background - chassis dyno testing and an understanding of coast down testing
