What are the responsibilities and job description for the Earth Science Tutor - Queens position at Toolkit Tutors?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Earth & Space Science tutor to join our team in Rockaway Park, Queens. In this role, you will provide in-person tutoring to high school students during the school day, helping them master Earth & Space Science concepts and prepare for assessments.

- Target Launch Date: April 8
- Schedule: 10-15 hours per week (during the school day)
- Pay: $32 per hour, including paid sick leave
- Conduct individualized tutoring sessions to help students prepare for Earth & Space Science assessments.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, including English Language Learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to keep students engaged.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to facilitate a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Education, Earth Science, or a related field
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching Earth Science or Living Environment to high school students
- Familiarity with the New York State Regents exams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
