Job Description:
Pay: $30/hr
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ELA & Global History tutor to join our team in Queens. In this role, you will provide in-person tutoring to high school students during the school day, helping them master ELA & Global History concepts and prepare for assessments.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Target launch date April 1, 2025
- Schedule of 3 days per week, 4 hours each day
- Pay of $30 per hour, including paid sick leave
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized tutoring sessions to help students prepare for the ELA & Global History Regents exams in June
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, including English Language Learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to keep students engaged.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to facilitate a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Education, English, History, or a related field.
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching ELA & Global History to high school students
- Familiarity with the New York State Regents exams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
