Summary
This is a full-time position that is directly responsible and accountable for all the activities, processes and functions required to consistently and safely operate an Oilfield Supply Store and deliver targeted financial results. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Managing the P&L and taking corrective action, as needed, to deliver targeted financial results.
- Pricing of goods and services to recover all costs, expenses, allocations, and deliver the targeted financial results.
- Timely and accuratly invoicing of, and receiving payment from, customers.
- Hiring, training and retaining knowledgeable and effective staff in the use of all relevant technologies, processes and procedures.
- Communicating frequently with Company Manager and Operation Coordinator for guidance in store operations.
- Developing and leading a culture of Safety for all employees.
- Managing inventory to have the right products ‘on the shelf’, in the right quantities to meet customer demands through the E21 system (MRP).
- Utilizing preferred suppliers in support of the volume-based corporate contracts for favorable product and freight costs.
- Developing annual business plans and quarterly forecasts with help of store staff and corporate guidance.
- Ensuring all Toolpushers Supply Company practices, policies, and procedures are followed and executed in a timely and effective manner. Recommend updates/changes if/as needed to keep them relevant to operating and delivering the financial results.
- Organizing and prioritizing work, as needed, to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the staff in operating the store.
- Developing and managing a Market Analysis and Sales Strategy with Sales Representatives to retain customers as well as identify opportunities to penetrate new markets, offer new products, and attract new customers.
- Meet frequently (e.g., monthly) with key customers for direct feedback about store performance and understanding their future requirements.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent education with one to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of all types of oilfield equipment, including line pipe and OCTG.
- Inventory control experience, sales, customer management, and basic accounting skills.
- Working knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, financial principles, and store-specific computer operations.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and driver log software.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
