Summary

- The hours for this position may vary but are typically-Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM - Evenings Weekends-OFF
- Drive a light Duty box or Flat Bed vehicle, such as a truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver Construction Supplies.
- Delivery to customers office or Jobsite
- Go out with a full route Daily
Duties
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
- Load and unload daily
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
- Checks in with customer either by phone or text at each designated account to announce arrival and serve as company liaison for the customer.
Requirements
- Lifting up to 50 pounds while demonstrating safety techniques
- Exiting and entering vehicles several times per day
- Must be able to climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Minimum 2 years' experience of prior commercial driving experience and deliveries.
- Valid Driver's License. Motor Vehicle Record must show a record of sustained safe driving with no moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must have a current DOT Physical Card or be able to pass a standard DOT Physical
- Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation.
- Must always secure your load and have experience knowledge of proper Technic
- Inspect your vehicle daily
- Keep clean and Maintain vehicles in good working condition.
- Report vehicle or equipment malfunctions.
- Collect fares or payment from customers.
- Load shipments, belongings, or materials.
- Read maps GPS tracking to determine routes.
- Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
- Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards.
- Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment.
- Maintain vehicles in good working condition.
