Toolworks, in partnership with people with disabilities, is a human service agency dedicated to providing the tools and resources that promote independence, equality, and personal satisfaction. Toolworks provides a number of programs including job placement and training, community integration, and community living services.
Position Title: Community Integration and Employment Coordinator.- Directly supervises, trains, and conducts performance evaluations for Employment Development Specialists and Instructors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with California labor laws.
- Assists with staff development on a day-to-day basis.
- Monitors client progress through case notes and completes monthly attendance reports, and other relevant HCBS reporting.
- Completes person-centered plans, placement planning documents, ISP's/IHSP's, monthly reports including billing, and all other assigned paperwork.
- Coordinates client and staff schedules for each site.
- Maintains positive business relationships with community members, client home support networks and management/owners of companies where clients are placed to ensure ongoing satisfaction of Toolworks' services.
- Develops new recreational and work opportunities for clients by meeting with potential volunteer sites, employers and businesses.
- Attend job fairs and conducts community outreach.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations, including OSHA standards and California labor laws. Oversees staff adherence to safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines.
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirement
- B.A. in Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling or related field preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with adults with disabilities is required, preferably in a community setting.
Skills Requirement
- Fluency in American Sign Language, Spanish, or Cantonese skills preferred and may be required depending on the specific population served.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet client needs.
- Strong writing and time management skills, patient, detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation
- $66,560 - $69,222 per year, depending on experience.
