Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Director to lead our initiatives within the behavioral health sector. This role is pivotal in overseeing program management, developing relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the effective delivery of services for individuals within the recovery community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work or related fields, alongside exceptional leadership and administrative skills. This job is grant funded.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Project and serve as the point person for project staff.
- Ensure Disparities Impact Statement (DIS) are implemented and tracked accordingly while leveraging our community stakeholders.
- Provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching, and support to IOP clients using Matrix and MRT curriculum.
- Provide training in the use of personal and community resources.
- Assist in developing formal and informal community support.
- Assist the person served in increasing social support networks of relatives, friends, and/ or significant others
- Offer encouragement in times of crisis.
- Advocate on behalf of persons with behavioral health problems to protect the client’s rights.
- Assist in reducing associated stigma.
- Work in coordination with other providers, family members, or significant others involved in the client’s recovery plan
- Attend agency staff meetings, case conferences, individual, and group supervision. Attain established standards of productivity
- Observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment, both internally and when dealing with external agencies and/ or individuals
- Be responsible for understanding the client's rights policy and procedures.
- Participate in staff training and development.
- Serve on designated committees within the agency
- Maintain professional standards at all times
- Observe the guidelines established within the Code of Ethics and Conduct
LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree with three or more years’ experience in a social services environment. Master's degree preferred.
- 45 -55 wpm typing; must demonstrate typing skills.
- Advanced skills in PC/Word processing/database/spreadsheets/systems and integrating the advanced skills to produce complex reports and documents. Possess computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel for Windows.
- Ability to apply the concepts of customer service in the workplace. Ability to use good professional judgment. Detail oriented. Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision.
- Possesses a basic knowledge of all office equipment, including word processors, typewriters, Dictaphone, FAX, and copy machines, and a willingness to attend appropriate classes to increase knowledge as needed.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. Ability to meet short and long-term goals and project deadlines.
- Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire.
- Experience with multi-cultural/multi-lingual populations and multi-disciplinary teams.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Completion of Addiction Counselor Certification within the grant period.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and regularly drives a motor vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office or other environmentally controlled room; Work exposes incumbent to contagious or infectious diseases; Work may expose incumbent to dangerous and volatile situations; which could result in bodily injury.
