*Job Overview*
We are seeking applicants to fill a potential future opening for a Mandated Peace Officer certified through the State of Georgia POST Council in good standing for Transport Deputy at the Toombs County Detention Center.
*Duties*
- Transporting subjects ordered to be in custody for various reasons. Including transport of Inmates to and from correctional facilities, doctor appointments, etc while they are still in custody.
- Assist in report writing, ensuring accuracy and clarity in documentation.
- Implement first aid and CPR procedures as necessary, maintaining safety protocols.
- Support law enforcement activities by assisting with documentation and coordination as required.
- Manage conflict situations effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to resolve issues.
- Monitor CCTV systems to ensure security protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with inmates, vendors, and staff.
*Skills*
- Proficient in report writing with strong attention to detail.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR; ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Knowledge of law enforcement practices and certification is required.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems for monitoring and security purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
