Top Aces Aviation Inc., a subsidiary of Top Aces Inc., a dynamic multi-national company headquartered in Montreal, Canada, operating Military controlled assets in international jurisdictions.
The role of Specialist, Trade Compliance will support Top Aces Aviation inc.’s Trade and Security compliance programs to ensure business activities align with the requirements of the following programs/regulations:
- The US Department of State’s International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- The US Department of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- The Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR)
- S. Customs and Boarder Protection - Import and Export
Main responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal functional groups
- Perform verifications of transactions in company ERP
- Develop, maintain, and deliver training to internal functional groups
- Develop, and maintain internal policy and procedure
- Classify items per the ITAR/EAR and per Harmonized Tariff Schedule (import and export)
- Apply for and maintain required import and export authorizations
- Prepare export paperwork, process exports from start to finish
- maintain record keeping per prescribed standards
- Participate in internal audit program
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 Years of relevant Experience
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Possess good judgement and the ability to resolve export related issues.
- Must be dead-line oriented and flexible and be able to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of aviation or aerospace would be a definite asset.
