Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the project lifecycle by providing accurate cost estimates and supporting project management efforts. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency in estimating software.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine the scope of work.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and schedules.
• Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates.
• Utilize HeavyBid and Bluebeam software for efficient estimating and bid management.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimates.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
• Familiarity with construction management principles and practices.
• Strong knowledge of cost control methods and techniques.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail in pricing contracts.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working on construction sites is a plus, providing practical insights into project requirements.
