About Top Dog Pet Grooming and Boarding: We are a family-Owned business and have been operating Since 2007. We offer professional boarding for both dogs and cats, as well as other services such as grooming. We strive to give every pet the care, attention, and love just like we would our own. Top Dog is a Smoke Free Facility.

​We are currently Looking for a highly motivated and self-sufficient individual to assist the day-to-day operations of our dog Boarding facility and Grooming Salon. The ideal candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clients and the highest quality care to their boarded pets. Previous experience in animal care is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.

​About this position :

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all pets coming for boarding and grooming are properly cared for while at the facility and that the working environment is kept clean and safe for them and the staff.
• Responsible for assisting our boarding pets (dogs/cats) in the kennel facility with Feeding/watering and administering medications. Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas. Supervise (food consumption, potty breaks, monitoring behavior etc.). Aid the groomer when require, walk and supervise dogs in the exercise area, fill out daily reports of animal care, laundry etc.
• Managing appointments, will be taking phone calls, as well as helping manage the front desk: Check In and Check out pets for boarding and grooming, perform other duties as assigned

​Position requirements:

• Must be able to be dependable, responsible, enthusiastic, hard working, able to work with a team environment, multitask, as well as have good communication abilities.
• Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time 5-8 hours, also bend and walk frequently.
• Available to assist when is necessary the groomer to lift a dog over 40 lbs. or able to lift up to 40lbs. when require.
• Basic skills with computer for email, scheduling or social media.
• Observe all safety guidelines when handling dogs and equipment.
• Communicate well with costumers and staff.
• Work is normally performed inside; some outside work is required for supervision of potty break of our guests/pets.
• Physically able to handle medium-duty cleaning, handling large dogs, picking up after dogs.
• Able to be on call, if needed
• Reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply and have a highschool diploma or equivalent.

​This is a part-time position (Between 15 to 20 Hours with shifts mostly on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays with some rotating weekends and more hours available in high season). Raises will be available based on experience and seniority. Additional to the part-time position, you will also be asked to work some night shifts as well during the week.

(Additional, Hours during high season or Holiday's may vary.)

​Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour.

Night shifts is $19.00 per hour.

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
