Top Dog Training and Resort is an innovative and fast growing luxury facility. We are looking for an experienced full-time and a part time dog bather/receptionist. Must be over 18, have reliable transportation, and have open availability Thursday through Saturday. You will have Sundays thru Wednesdays off. Pay starts at $15-$17/hour plus tips and bonuses. Day starts at 9:00am and usually end between 7:00 and 7:30pm.
Job Description:
- 1) Bathes dogs in preparation for grooming: Combs and cuts out heavy mats from dog's coat, using barber shears and steel comb.
- 2) Brushes fur to remove dead skin, using dog brush.
- 3) Draws bath water and regulates temperature.
- 4) Washes dog, using perfumed soap or shampoo and hand brushes and repeats process until dog is clean.
- 5) Dries dog, using towel and electric dryer
- 6) Cleans animals' quarters.
- 7) May trim and shape dog's coat and clip toenails, using scissors and clippers.
- 8) Clip/Dremmel nails
- 9) Cleaning ears
- 10) Communicates well with the clients
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with scheduling appointments, selecting grooming services, and answering inquiries about pet care.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on grooming options, products, and maintenance between grooming appointments.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer and the business.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, appointments, and pet grooming preferences.
- Process payments and manage cash transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels of grooming supplies and products.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent customer experience.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pet care, safety, and grooming standards.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with pets in a grooming, veterinary, or pet care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with both pets and their owners.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of pet grooming techniques and equipment is desirable.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and restrain pets of various sizes and breeds.
- Stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfort working with grooming tools and equipment such as clippers, brushes, and bathing supplies.
