In a crowded security space of vendors, convincing Managed Service Providers to try yet another product can seem daunting. At ThreatMate we are not pushing another product that requires persuasion. Managed Service Partners understand they need some form of vulnerability management or attack surface management product in order to meet their and their clients Cyber Insurance requirements. Its just a question of which platform they choose. This is where ThreatMate excels. The ThreatMate value proposition allows MSPs to grow their business, consolidate software platform license costs, while meeting the regulatory and insurance requirements of their clients.

ThreatMate was founded by a team of technology experts with backgrounds in DoD / National Security, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The team previously founded and successively built companies that solved large-scale enterprise grade issues in cybersecurity and network management. With ThreatMate, our team is on a mission to bring enterprise grade cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to protect small and mid-sized companies from cyber threats through Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

You will be joining ThreatMate at a unique time. The market for attack surface management tools is not only growing significantly, but it also presents significant blue ocean opportunities. While we displace competitors, we also empower MSPs with a platform to continuously manage the cyber risks of their clients networks. With an established sales process you will be able to drive sales and drive your income to new heights.

Position Summary

If youve never been part of an early stage startup rocket ship, clip your belt in its a hi g-force ride. We have a very experienced executive team who has been there before and are doing it again. We are joined by some of the best investors and advisors in the market backing ThreatMate to ensure it will be the category winner. We are looking for an experienced sales leader to join the team and propel our growth. Youll be an MVP on a fast growing team. Better yet, getting in early gives you the opportunity to advance your career into leadership positions as the company grows fast.

This is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role where youll not only guide the sales team but also work directly with them to close high-value deals, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen our position in the cybersecurity market. In this startup environment, your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the sales function from the ground up. Youll collaborate closely with a team of passionate, driven professionals, all committed to pushing the boundaries of whats possible in cybersecurity.

What Youll Do

  • Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across inbound, outbound, and enterprise accounts.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team that aligns with company goals and culture. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to ensure team success.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring that the team hits both top-line revenue goals and customer acquisition targets. Monitor KPIs, track progress, and optimize sales performance.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies, customer needs, and product feedback.
  • Refine and implement efficient sales processes to streamline lead qualification, deal cycles, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Inspire and motivate the team with a clear, compelling vision for growth. Lead by example in managing key accounts and securing strategic partnerships.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences, strengthening the companys presence in the marketplace and support lead generation.
  • Regularly report on sales activity, key insights, and progress against goals. Use data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.

Who You Are

  • 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within SaaS, MSP, or tech industries.
  • A history of consistently exceeding sales targets and building high-performing teams that deliver results.
  • You have the vision to set long-term strategies but are also comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Experienced in building, scaling, and coaching a successful sales team while fostering a collaborative, high-energy culture.
  • You use data and insights to drive decisions and continuously improve sales performance.
  • A strong communicator and natural relationship builder, with the ability to work across teams and with senior stakeholders.
  • A focus on delivering value to customers, ensuring long-term success both during and after the sales cycle.
  • The willingness and ability to travel within North America (and occasionally internationally) to attend key events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Thrive in a startup environment and are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
