Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manger at Top Flight is responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality of the companies contracted facilities and properties. This role involves supervising maintenance technicians, managing schedules, and overseeing regular maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, general repair and installs, while also ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The position requires effective communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Oversight: Lead, supervise, and support all maintenance employees, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality performance.
- Project Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Procurement & Inventory: Manage ordering and purchasing of materials, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance operations.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections and reviews of completed maintenance work to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Client & Vendor Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing company clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company policies, OSHA regulations, and other relevant safety and environmental guidelines.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing maintenance budgets, controlling costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Emergency Response: Respond to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate timely solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience (3 years) in property management, maintenance, construction, or contracting role
- Experience in carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing, finishing, painting are a must
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
- Positive, patient, friendly and professional attitude and demeanor.
- Time managements and organizational skills
- Trustworthy, able to anticipate needs without oversight, focus on tasks at hand and efficient follow-through
- Knowledge of building maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to VC properties as they arise
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A motivated, self-starter with a strong work-ethic
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling, resource allocation, and operational logistics.
- Proficient with computers and smart devices.
