Job Overview
Industry-leading energy contractor, Top Form Industrial, Inc., TFI, founded in 2006, specializes in back-up power, including generators, fuel cells, and battery energy storage systems, as well as primary meter conversions and switchgear replacement. With experience in the retail, industrial, utility, healthcare, data center, pharmaceutical, military/government, and water treatment/landfill reclamation industries, TFI specializes in both behind-the-meter and grid scale installations. Though TFI is based in Georgia, TFI has a solid infrastructure in place to support travel work in all states.
As the Concrete Foreman/Crew Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team on the installation of concrete equipment pads and infrastructure associated with electrical systems for large generators and power grid equipment. Your expertise and leadership will be critical in ensuring the efficient and safe execution of concrete and associated infrastructure work, while meeting project specifications and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team in the installation of concrete pads and infrastructure to support electrical systems including generators, switchgear, and other backup power equipment.
- Oversee and provide support for underground conduit installations and associated infrastructure, as required per plans and specifications.
- Ensure concrete work meets project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Review blueprints and project plans to ensure proper installation and system integration.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other crews (electrical, mechanical, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards on all job sites.
- Monitor project timelines and productivity, adjusting work plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all electrical work is installed to the highest standards.
- Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing development to concrete crew members.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily work activities, including hours worked, materials used, and project progress.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and regulations.
Skills/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the concrete industry, with at least 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of standard concrete practices, including forming, pouring, and finishing. Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints. General knowledge of construction, electrical conduit installation, and/or fabrication is a plus.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a concrete crew effectively while ensuring safety and productivity.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to multiple job sites across different states as required. Driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Additional: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work under pressure.
