A Japanese Freight Forwarder is seeking an Accounting Assistant Manager to join their team.

Salary: $70K ~ $95K
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Review and ensure accuracy for financial transactions, AP & AR functions
- Adhere to US GAAP
- Support accounting manager with projects and workflow
- Manage cash flow, bank transactions, cash disbursement
- Perform Audit correspondence
- Delegate assignments under the accounting function
- Provide guidance and to the accounting team and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Contribute to finance and forecasting activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business related field
- Experience at a Japanese freight company is a plus
- 3-5 years of Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel level - competent with excel formulas and pivot tables
- Must be willing to work overtime during busy season during annual closing from Jan-April
