Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in the aviation sector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and airside infrastructure design, construction, and project management for airport facilities. You will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of airfield and landside infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage systems, roads, and utility services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support the design and development of airfield and landside infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, utilities).
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and condition assessments.
Perform grading, drainage, and pavement design using relevant software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure design compliance and project coordination.
Manage or support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Ensure all work complies with FAA, ICAO, and local airport authority standards and regulations.
Oversee construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and field observation reports.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and present technical information in a clear and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with at least 3 years focused on aviation or airport infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, ICAO standards, and airport design principles.
Proficiency in civil engineering design software: Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation.
Experience with pavement design tools (e.g., FAARFIELD, COMFAA) is a plus.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with airfield lighting and navigational aids coordination.
Familiarity with sustainability and resilience practices in aviation infrastructure.
Working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
