Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee airport and site development engineering projects from design through completion. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project leadership, and business development skills to ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining client relationships and supporting company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of airport and site development projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and manage project documentation, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
- Apply engineering best practices to evaluate, select, and adapt techniques, procedures, and criteria for each project.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Prepare bid documents, proposals, and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor project progress, update milestones, and manage status reports and change orders.
- Resolve contract-related disputes, ensuring adherence to project specifications, material quality, and workmanship standards.
- Participate in client and contractor meetings, addressing project challenges and ensuring alignment with objectives.
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Support business development efforts by identifying potential clients and expanding industry relationships.
- Represent the company at industry events, forums, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors to build long-term partnerships.
- Assist in preparing project scopes, budgets, and fee proposals to secure new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in site development, infrastructure, or airport projects.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state funding processes and regulatory approvals.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong leadership and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Capacity to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and project integrity.
Licensure & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; ability to obtain licensure in other states is a plus.
- Supervisory responsibilities may be required as part of this role.
